Good Day collectors!

It's a cold and snowy one here in Toronto so I'm happy to be able to bring you today's edition which was taken in the much warmer climes of Sao Paulo, Brazil. In case you were wondering it's 26 degrees there today (I checked!). This is our fourth edition from Toronto artist Nico Oved. This grouping is a perfect example of how framing a small piece of artwork with a large mat can add drama to the piece and make it look more important. I have followed the career of Winnipeg born photographer David Burdeny for a few years now &amp; am always impressed with his work.  This hauntingly beautiful image is one of my favs. Purposefully photographing in poor light &amp; sometimes near darkness, Burdeny uses long exposures to "see what our eyes cannot". Isn't this a fantastic gallery space! I love the clean simple design. I also love that they used a mixture of black &amp; white frames. Notice that they kept the mat width pretty much the same on all the photographs.  This is a good tip to use when creating a gallery wall.

Who says you have to hang art?!  This wonderful arrangement by master interior designer (&amp; photographer), Vincent Wolf, shows that sometimes a more relaxed approach is better. I wanted our first Photo Grouping of the Day image to be really special.  I searched my archives for the perfect image &amp; I think this photo by Aussie photographer Anson Smart fits the bill... non?  I just love this grouping (not to mention the photographs)!  Especially the way it looks haphazardly hung.  Trust me this layout was very well thought out! Hanging art is an art (pun intended).
